Overview

We make our way over the bridge then have a short steep climb which takes us to Raikes Farm.From here we cross several fields before dropping down and heading over to Holes Beck House. We the cross the B6265 road and onto the Harlington Lane track which we follow to Grimwith Reservoir where we will stop for a lunch break. We continue on after the break re-cross the B6265 road and follow the paths over Appletreewick Pasture and down to the river Wharfe which we follow back into Burnsall.Refreshments will be at the Red Lion P.H.

The walk is over moorland and farmland with good paths and tracks, some of the moorland maybe a little boggy in places. There is a short steep climb after we leave Burnsall with one or two short inclines along the rest of the route.Please be aware there is a possibility we may encounter cattle in some areas of the walk. Please note there is a cafe and public toilet facilities within the car park at Burnsall and a picnic area and toilets at Grimwith Reservoir.
