Please note start time of 10.30
Meet at the small parking area at Neptune car park, Shellness Road, Leysdown-on-Sea. (If this is full, there is parking approximately 400 yards prior to this).
A leisurely walk on flat ground, rural paths and footpaths across to The Ferry House Inn overlooking the Swale Estuary. Empty spaces dominated by the sky and quietness.
Pass a monument to J T C Moore-Brabazon MP which proclaims that the first powered flight in this county took place at that location in May 1909. Pass a lovely rural church St. Thomas at Harty.
Return from The Ferry House back past the church and then out towards the sea wall and back to our start point.
A warning that we will pass a naturist beach at Shellness.
No stiles on the walk.
Any dogs brought on the walk to remain on leads.
