We are the Manchester and Salford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Due to engineering work this walk will start from New Mills Newtown Station. Walk is approx 3 miles via the Millennium Walkway and the Sett Valley Trail arriving at Hayfield Church Hall at 12.45 pm. Events and speeches commence at 1 pm till 6 pm. The walk is mainly flat with some steps and 2 slight inclines.
Meet at Manchester Piccadilly station to catch the 9.51 am train from Manchester Piccadilly to New Mills Newtown arriving 10.26 am. If you have a bus pass with train top up you can get a return ticket from Hazel Grove.
Due to engineering work this walk will now start at New Mills New Town Railway Station. If walkers are planning to meet the group at New Mills and not Piccadilly; please let the walk leader know in advance.
Hayfield Village. Return: by Bus from the bus station in Hayfield No 61- Buses 15 min past the hour to New Mills station. OR no 358 - buses 40 mins past the hour to Stockport bus station. Trains from News Mills to Manchester Piccadilly every 30 mins.
