National Trust woodland, down to River Avon via Paradise Bottom, along riverside path towards Suspension Bridge, then steady climb up Nightingale Valley to return to start point. Mostly hard surface tracks. Moderate slopes, which may be muddy and slippery after rain. Walking boots advised. Walk may be shortened if weather dictates.
Refreshment stop on route (bring own drinks and snacks).
Toilets near start of walk (Clifton end of Suspension Bridge)
Pubs and cafes in Clifton Village at end of walk. Or coffee cart at end point.
Buses 8 or 505 to Christ Church Clifton or Clifton Village, then walk across Suspension Bridge to start of walk (allow 10-15 minutes).
Parking very limited in Clifton. Advise park on Downs (Fountains Hill end of Ladies Mile), then walk up The Promenade to N. Somerset end of Suspension Bridge (i.e. far end of bridge). Allow about 30 minutes for this walk. Or catch bus 8 or 505 to Christ Church Clifton.
