We are the Loughborough & District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We will leave the carpark on Hallfields Lane/Warren Way and make our way to the canal at Cossington Lock. We'll follow the canal into Watermead Park, walk the length of the park and enter Leicester near the Outdoor Pursuit Centre; continuing past the Space Centre we arrive at Abbey Park where there is a cafe option though it will be at the end of the walk so bring some lunch. We'll catch the 127 bus back to Rothley (or beyond if that works for you).
The walk is generally flat. We'll check it out beforehand to assess the condition of the riverside paths.
