Come and join me on this lovely south Warwickshire walk.
From Lower Brailes we will head across sheep pastures towards Upper Brailes from where we will climb, mostly gentle with a number of level sections, to Brailes Hill and on to the top of Cheriton Hill. From here there are magnificent 360 degree views across the Cotswold National Landscape (the new name for Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty). We will descend to Cheriton, then head for Sutton-under-Brailes with its huge village green, where we will have our lunch stop. The last section will involve a steady climb to the ruins of a farmhouse, again rewarded by great views, before descending to Lower Brailes.
The walk uses field paths, mostly pastures, tracks, a woodland path and a short section of lane. It should be fairly mud free. There are a number of easy to use stiles and one Bristol gate.
