A varied circular walk starting from Abberton Reservoir and passing Layer Breton, Layer de la Haye and Layer Marney. The route includes Chest Wood, Cooks Wood and Great Billet Wood.
As a bonus, we will visit the majestic leaning tower of Birch, which is hopefully still standing.
The walk will be mainly through woodland and field edge paths plus some sections on quiet roads.
Depending on the conditions at the time, it can get very muddy/boggy in places.
Bring a packed lunch and snacks etc, we will stop apx half way for a picnic in the woods.
We will meet from 10.15 and leave at 10.30 from Abberton Reservoir Visitor Centre car park, where it is free to park and there is a cafe and toilet available (Open from 10am).
