Crossing Ranmore Common Road we will walk North on a footpath through wood and common land to the old track (Hogden Lane) which takes us towards Polesden Lacey (coffee and loo stop) and back via fields and woodland, passing the Youth Hostel and heading back to the road which we cross before taking a short section of the North Downs Way before returning to the car park
Ranmore West National Trust Car Park on western end of Ranmore Common Road. From Guildford take A245 East to traffic Lights at Effingham. Turn right into Green Lane for approx . 1.4 miles and turn left at cross roads onto Crocknorth Road which joins Ranmore Common Road the carpark is on the right hand side.
