We are the Maldon and Dengie Hundred Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk starts from Old Hall Marshes in Tollesbury.
Maldon and Dengie Ramblers' TA (Tuesday alternative) walks are normally between five and seven miles long and are circular walks. Sometimes they finish with a pub or café lunch.
The Old Hall Marshes reserve has extensive grazing marshes with brackish water fleets, reedbeds, saltmarsh and two off-shore islands. You can see many species of birds at different times of the year, including avocets, lapwings, redshanks and bearded tits.
Old Hall Marshes car park, Old Hall Lane, Maldon, Essex, CM9 8TP. When driving into the reserve, please drive slowly and with care along Old Hall Lane, particularly when negotiating the speed bumps around the Ship Ahoy farmhouse, as children are often playing outside.
