Overview

Meet: Wheathampsted East Lane car park. Turn off the B651 alongside The Bull (Wheathamsptead) to the free car park down the lane beyond the pub. Lavatories at start. W3W: spark.complains.closet. A circular walk. Travel along Devil’s Dyke, the site of a victory by Julius Caesar, look for buried sports cars in Brocket Park, sing alongside Nellie Dean’s Old Mill, and continue through the setting for TV’s Band of Brothers. Lunch: The Crooked Chimney, Lemsford. The 610 bus which runs between Luton and Potters Bar stops at Wheathampstead. Finish at 3.56pm.
