Jon will be leading his first walk starting at Caerloggas Downs. We will be seeing the effect the china clay industry has had on the past, present and future of the area and will take in many villages. Although some of this walk is more urban than usual, we will be rewarded with some amazing views over St Austell bay, Gribbin Head and across the moors, using a mixture of well used and hidden little paths. There is a fair bit of climbing but mostly steady climb/ descents and nothing extreme. There will be an option for drinks at the end of the walk, venue to be confirmed.
Walkers should be aware that there are no public toilets on the route.
This walk does need good visibility so will be cancelled at short notice if that isn't possible on the day.

Many of the paths are well made, often on reclaimed China clay land. There is a little mud so normal walking boots will be fine, with three good stiles close to the finish. There are some road sections so dogs will need to be on short leads under close control. Bring food and drink.
Please book by email giving contact details to camelwalks@gmail.com. For information on group walks please see the guidance on the Ramblers website.
