We are the Stour Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join a friendly group on an attractive circular route heading out westwards from Gosfield towards Shalford. The walk is on good paths and tracks but, depending on the weather, there might be a few muddy stretches. The start and finish is the recreation ground car park off Church Road, where there is a loo and good community shop (please support). If the car park is full, there is ample free parking along the northern edge of the recreation ground in Hall Drive. The pace will be steady, with suitable pauses and a lunch break. Please bring food, drink, etc., as desired.
This is a ten-mile walk with only a few modest ups and downs.
You don’t need to book in advance to join our walks, just make sure you arrive in good time and introduce yourself to the group
The recreation ground car park is accessed from Church Road. Please park considerately and show your support for the community shop. If the car park is full, there is ample free parking in Hall Drive, which runs along the other (northern) side of the recreation ground.
