A day out with Carol with a choice  of two led walks round Carsington Water to thank her for all the hard work and love she gave to Newark Ramblers as secretary. We will set off all together from the Visitors Centre round the reservoir in a clockwise direction. The full circuit is 8 miles and undulating with some long inclines. But there will be an option after the coffee stop at Sheepwash to break off on a shorter (5.5 miles) circular route which takes in the villages of Hopton and Carsington. Lunch stop en route so don't forget your packup!

Please register in advance with Brigid Murphy, Group Secretary, on brigid.murphy@btinternet.com stating whether you want to go on (a) the 8-mile walk, (b) the 5.5 mile walk, or (c) you will be coming to Carsington but not joining either of the official walks.

In addition, please let Brigid know as soon as possible:

1. if you are willing to take other people in your car, how many, and where from;
2. if you will only be able to attend if you are offered a lift.

as she is hoping to facilitate car share arrangements.
