Steady downhill walk into Rottingdean. A short stroll around the village before going down the slope to the Undercliffe Walk and heading west towards Brighton. Picnic lunch on the beach - tides permitting! Beach cafe for hot drinks or ice creams. We then climb a short flight of steps - cross Marine Drive and start our upward climb back over the Downs - passing through Ovingdean - short stop at St Wulfrans and back to Woodingdean. It will be a faster paced walk - for the most part 2.5 mph - but more leisurely around the village.
1 long, gradual ascent, 1 long, gradual descent, 2 stiles Pace: mainly around 2.5 mph.
