We are the Mid Staffordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join us on a walk from Tutbury to the picturesque village of Rolleston on Dove.
Starting from the Dog & Partridge in Tutbury High Street, we walk through part of Tutbury, then via good tracks and through farmland to Rolleston on Dove.
Our return journey follows brooks and streams to the River Dove itself with some nice views of Tutbury Castle.
Apart from a gentle climb near the beginning and a short, sharp climb near the end, the walk is generally flat, although there are about eleven stiles. Some of the fields had a few cattle. Following the relatively warm and relatively dry weather, there is surprisingly very little mud.
We will stop for a couple of breaks during the walk, so please bring your own refreshments. As we are using their car park, please try and join us in the Dog and Partridge for a drink and maybe a snack after the walk.
