Overview

A walk along the side of a beautiful valley then up onto the ridge to Twyn Y Gaer Iron age fort. The walk from the car park starts with a short steep uphill section but ends with spectacular views over two valleys.

Llanthony Wood Car Park. From the A465 from Abergavenny turn off to Llanvihangel and head towards Llanthony. Turn left opposite the Queens Head going straight up the single track which is very steep from the bottom and has a few potholes until you see a large forest car park on your right.
