Group name: Worksop
This group is a part of Nottinghamshire Area.
Our activities include:
Dog-friendly walks, Short and easy walks
Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.
Worksop Ramblers is a small, friendly group offering a varied programme of walks most Sundays, plus one or two Thursdays a month, and Wednesday evening walks from May to August. Car sharing is encouraged, therefore the meeting point for Sunday and Thursdays walks is the Farm Foods car park on Memorial Avenue, Worksop, except for Wednesday evenings when we meet at the walk start. Anyone wishing to go direct to the start of any of our walks is welcome to do so but we strongly recommend that you always contact the walk leader to check the exact location and time.
In addition to local walks and walks in the Peak District, our walks range as far afield as Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Staffordshire. A few of our walks are graded as strenuous but most of our walks are moderate with Wednesday evening walks being graded as leisurely.
