Short and easy walks

Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.

Worksop Ramblers is a small, friendly group offering a varied programme of walks most Sundays, plus alternate Thursdays, and  alternate Wednesday evenings from May to August. Most Sunday and Thursday walks start at 10:00 unless otherwise stated.  Wednesday evening walks start at 19:00.  Please arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand so that we can register you and the walk leader knows how many there are in the group.  Car parking arrangements are clearly given for each walk.  This could be a post code, a grid reference or, in some cases, what3words.  Always have a means to pay in case there is a parking charge.  Please contact the walk leader in advance if you are not sure about how to get to the start point.

In addition to local walks and walks in the Peak District, our walks range as far afield as Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Staffordshire.  Most of our walks are easy or moderate. Some walks are graded as 'strenuous', especially walks in the Peak District.  If you need more details about any walk, please contact the walk leader as given for each walk.
