BOSTON RAMBLERS was founded in the year 1970 and is a local group of the Lincolnshire Area of The Ramblers. Every year, we organise a varied programme of led walks in the Lincolnshire countryside and further afield which is a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.
WE ARE a lively, friendly and broad-age range group and you’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore. We have our own Facebook group page www.facebook.com/groups/bostonramblers, which you can access, on request.
ON EVERY other Sunday throughout the year, we have full-day walks which are usually 12-15km in length. From April to August when the extended daylight allows, we have evening walks every Wednesday, which are usually 6-8km in length and from October to April in the shorter daylight months, we have fortnightly alternate Wednesday/Thursday morning walks of a similar length to the evening walks but these are followed by an optional lunch at a pub or cafe.
EVERY YEAR, we also organise three long weekend walking holidays to places such as the Peak District and the Yorkshire Pennines for members only and every other year a 6-day coach holiday to Scotland. We also have a number of social events during the year for our members where we enjoy dining together and chatting about all our walking adventures.
