The multi-award-winning Mikron theatre company are touring a new play ‘Common Ground’:
“A ‘hill-arious’ ramble through the history of land access in England.
From ze Norman Conquest to loitering in lockdown, via The Mass Trespass at Kinder Scout.
The Pendale and District Ramblers are looking forward to celebrating ‘in stile’ on their 50th anniversary walk, but the path has been blocked by the landowner.
How will they find their way through?
Their quest for freedom and fresh air won’t be easy, as they navigate bulls, beavers, and wandering sheep.
Grab your boots and waterproof for a meander with Mikron on a hike through history.”
The performance will take place in the pub garden of The Three Cranes in the village of Turvey, near Bedford. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
Food and drink available from the pub.
No reserved seating or tickets required; a ‘pay what you feel’ collection will be taken after the show.

Meet in front of the pub at 1pm. The play begins at 2pm.

About the organisers
Stag Walkers is a Ramblers group aimed mainly at people in their 20s and 30s but all are welcome and we have members of all ages. We run weekly walks, on Saturdays or Sundays, varying in length from around 5 to 15 miles, and we host regular social nights. Walks and socials generally take place across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and south Cambridgeshire.
