Overview

Parlick Zig Zag 11th May Sunday - 6 Miles

7.20am meet up Walk Starts 7.30am

Starting at corner Fell gate and Fish House lane we take the fields around foot of Parlick until we reach Higher Fair Snape Farm.. at this point we start our zig zag climb up to Paddy's Pole on Fair Snape Fell reaching a summit of 510 meters. This is a good climb but not as severe as the main climb to Parlick .. from here we walk along the ridge towards Parlick, we take a lower path of Parlick before the short climb to the summit.. walking down we follow the footpath that gently curves Parlick. This is a walk straight through..but stopping for water as necessary..walking poles useful. Last path down is stoney and gritty. There are a number of styles to cross on the walk but it does give a good view of the fells from a different view point.

Breakfast at Auction Eats afterwards for those who wish..

Dogs are welcome on the walk but there maybe a field with calfs and due to sheep on the moors, dogs will need to be on a lead.
