Join Stag Walkers for a magical evening stroll along the Cambridge Botanic Lights trail around Cambridge University Botanic Garden!
This festive event returns for its third year, turning the Botanic Garden into a fantastic illuminated trail celebrating the extraordinary world of plants. This year’s event will again bring the Garden to life after dark with stunning displays and artistic interventions – creating a beautiful landscape for everyone to enjoy.
Expect a breathtaking blend of light, sound and nature – perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable night out this winter.
What’s more, all ticket income (minus booking fees) goes directly towards maintaining and growing the Garden’s living collection.
Booking your place
If you wish to attend, please let us know you’re coming via the Stag Walkers Meetup group by clicking the ‘Attend’ button on the event page, and buy your own tickets from the Cambridge Live Tickets website. Tickets must be bought in advance.
Make sure to book your tickets for Sun 14 Dec 2025 and for the 6.20pm time slot, which is when off-peak tickets become available.
Off-peak tickets cost £17.60 including booking fee.
Please remember to edit your RSVP if you can no longer make it so we know not to wait for you.
Please note:

- only trained assistance dogs are permitted to visit the Garden, when supporting a disabled handler.

The trail will take approximately 1 hour to walk around.
The Garden Café will be open, and hot drinks and snacks will also be available halfway around the trail.

Please:
- DO NOT book onto an event unless you are pretty sure you will be able to make it.
- UPDATE YOUR RSVP. We understand ‘life happens’ so if you need to change your RSVP please do this at least 24 hours before the event and before booking closes to enable someone else to take your place.
- DON’T NO-SHOW on the day unless it is absolutely unavoidable (we do understand ‘life happens’) because it prevents others from enjoying an event if it is fully booked.
- *TAKE NOTE that if you no-show three times, without extenuating circumstances, we will decline further bookings from you for a period of six weeks.*
- DO car-share or use public transport if possible. To offer a lift or ask for one from a fellow walker, please use the Meetup event page.
- FOLLOW NHS guidelines and do not attend the event if you are unwell.
