Wolsingham is a pleasant market town in Weardale in County Durham. It is an official ‘Walkers are Welcome’ town, making it a great place to get outside and explore. Weardale once rang to the noise of deer hunting when Durham’s mighty medieval Prince Bishops designated part of the dale as their hunting forest. Now it is a haven for walkers with old quarries, moors, valleys and a reservoir.
