Masham is a charming market town in North Yorkshire, England, known for its large market square, historic character, and as the home of Theakston's and Black Sheep Breweries. It's a gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. From the 13th to the 16th centuries Fountains and Jervaulx Abbeys farmed sheep on an industrial and highly lucrative scale and many were traded in Masham. ,80,000 sheep bought and sold in a year, and therein lies the reason for our stunning and quite unique marketplace – one of the largest in England.
