Wednesday, 24 August 2022 (Group: Pocklington)
Moderate 8.5 miles / 13.7 km
A walk with everything, far ranging views over the Moors and valleys, pretty streams, attractive countryside, and with a chance of glimpsing a steam train. There are numerous steep ascents and descents, some rough moorland tracks, waist high bracken, and the risk of boggy sections after a rainy spell. But an outstanding walk with time taken to admire the views (and catch your breath!)
Risk of ticks, trousers recommended as distinct from shorts!
