A varied walk over farmland, moorland, woods, gritstone edges and by the river Derwent. We will visit the villages or Curbar, Calver, Froggatt, Grindleford and Nether Padley. This is a great walk for any time of year but can be exceptional when the heather is in flower. We will get a great multi-angle appraisal of impressive Calver Mill which was used in the TV drama serial Colditz. We will also pass Padley Chapel with its tale of Catholic martyrdom during the reign of Elizabeth I.
