THIS WALK REQUIRES BOOKING VIA MEETUP - See https://www.meetup.com/Metropolitan-Walkers/events/ for details
This is a coastal epic, taking in a brilliant piece of the South West Coast Path! If you take travel option 1 or 2, there will also be a chance for canoeing at Exeter Quay, and with options 1,2 or 3 a visit to Exeter Cathedral, a Devon cream tea, and a swim or paddle in the sea. We'll take a bus from Exeter to near the Mason's Arms (2.5mile walk). As we'll be on a night walk, eating a meal at the Mason's Arms is strongly recommended. Feel free to drink as you see fit!
We'll head off from the Mason's Arms at about 11pm, heading down to Branscombe mouth, before joining the coast path. We'll have a break at the beach in the village of Beer, where we can go paddling, and again in Seaton. We'll then head along the Undercliffs (a National Nature Reserve) to Lyme Regis. There'll be an opportunity to go fossil hunting at Lyme Regis. Remember a torch, snacks, water, warm clothes, a camera if you have one, and a big smile and spirit of adventure!
Please email the walk leader on firstname.lastname@example.org by the day before - and preferably by 3 September - to say you'll be coming - so space can be booked for you in the pub - and whether you are meeting us at Exeter St Davids, Exeter Central or at the pub.
