Later start from Chartham Garden Centre to take advantage of cafe and toilets prior to walk if needed. We walk into Canterbury via the North Downs Way and up the High St to take in the Christmas atmosphere. Approx 1 hr for a break, then meet outside Boho's cafe for return shorter walk back alongside the river Stour. Possibly coffee and cake in GC cafe on return.

Starting and finishing at the Castle Inn immediately next to Bodiam Castle. Park available in the pub car park if you intend to eat afterwards, on street or in the castle car park (free for NT members). If you can please do park in the castle car park. We will head out west to Saleshurst going through meadows and orchards before looping down and around to Snagshall then up to the Castle which we'll do a quick circuit of before lunch / going home. Table is booked for 14:00, they serve a vegetarian nut roast as well as the traditional Sunday roast.

Meet at St Dunstan Church, Canterbury (at the corner of London road and Whitstable road, 5 mins walk from Canterbury West Station). The walk will take us to Blean woods via the university and Tyler hills returning via part of the crab and winkle way. On Sunday, you can park on London road or adjacent streets. Lunch at the end in Canterbury.

Meet at The Albion Inn -The Curious Eatery - 1 Church Street, Boughton Monchelsea, Maidstone. Park round the Boughton Green. Scenic walk through Loose Valley toward and along Medway Valley Walk. Return via Barming and East Farleigh and scenic Greensand Way. Lunch at 2.15pm- good food at pub including good vegetarian option. The pub offers cake and coffee option too.
