From Longnor the walk heads down to Beggars Bridge and on to Crowdicote. We carry on along the Dove valley to reach the remains of of the Motte and Bailey Pilsbury Castle. At Pilsbury village we climb out of the valley towards Sheen Hill and then north above the Manifold valley back to Longnor.

From Onecote we follow the Hamps Way to Ford and on to Felthouse. Then north east to Grindon to return via the site of memorial to the aircraft which crashed whilst trying to deliver food supplies to Grindon and Butterton cut off in the severe winter of 1947.

From Astbury we head down Dodds Lane to the Macclesfield Canal and follow the towpath for approx 2.5 kilometres and on to Little Moreton Hall. We cross the A34 ( care needed, vehicles travel fast ) and pass through Brownlow Heath and Brownlow back to Astbury.

This 6.5 mile circular walk follows field path and tracks north to Chelmorton and then east to Taddington before returning to Flagg. as usual in this area there are an abundance of stiles.

We follow the track past the trout farm to Gig Hall and then right up to Hawklee and a short distance along the Winkle Min before dropping down into Greasley Hollow and on to the Wild Boar pub. We then circumnavigate Hammerton Knowle and return to Danebridge.
