Short and easy walks, Path maintenance

If you want to join a welcoming and friendly walking group – look no further!

Since our foundation in 1974, our aim has been to encourage people to explore this attractive area of the Cotswolds and Thames Valley, keep fit and healthy and meet new friends.

We walk most Sundays, between 4 and 10 miles in length, in our locality and neighbouring countryside.  Once a month we have a short easy mid-week walk with an optional lunch at the end.  During the summer months we hold evening walks with an optional drink at the end.  There are occasional away weekends, mid-week breaks and other social events such as quiz nights and the annual Strawberry Tea.

We  have an active Footpath Committee, who consider footpath issues, e.g. proposed improvements, alterations and obstructions.  Maintenance Volunteers to do clearing of overgrown paths.  Footpath Volunteers who are systematically surveying all 288 miles of paths in the Cirencester Area, to check for difficulties, e.g. broken finger posts, dead end paths and blocked Rights of Way.

We look forward to extending a warm welcome to you on our walks - so why not come along and find out more.
