Group name: Meon
This group is a part of Hampshire Area.
Following a decison by Ramblers GB, ALL Ramblers group walks and other events are cancelled. This applies to all our group walks and events from 18th March to 31st May
Getting out and having a walk is good for our health and well being; you are welcome to go out walking on your own or with a friend. However remember social distancing on walks: please respect the need to keep space (2 m) between individuals. Avoid hand contact and use sanitising wipes if possible
Meon Ramblers look forward to welcoming you on one of our walks. We continue to offer a choice of walks on most Sundays throughout the autumn and winter plus a number of mid-week walks.
We organise regular walks led by local expert leaders – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.

The Meon Group offers 3 walks of varying lengths almost every Sunday throughout the year with some mid-week walks. Our walks are mainly in Hampshire and West Sussex with occasional trips across to the Isle of Wight and into Dorset. Extras include coach based walks and some social events (cream tea walks, BBQ, quiz and skittles evenings). Our walk along The Thames Path continued in 2019 reaching Hammersmith in October. These coach walks are very popular so advance booking for coach seats essential. See Thames Path page or our walks programme for dates. The dates for the final 2 stages in 2020 are shown on the Thames Path page
We publish all our walks here on the Ramblers Find a walk site - the details of all our walks are shown in the adjacent column. Click on a walk to find out more. If you have any queries about a particular walk please contact the named leader; they will be able to assist you in locating the start point.
Bad weather: very occasionally we have to make changes to our walks due to the weather and difficult ground conditions or if a leader is unwell. We post these changes against each walk - including if we have to cancel the walk (weather such a flooding or snow and ice or if a leader is ill). If you are uncertain if a walk will be taking place - please contact the leader to check. The leader contact details are posted with each walk.
