Overview

This 10/11 mile picnic walk starts in Four Marks and heads east alongside Chawton Woods towards Alton where we cut under the A31 using the underpass and have a coffee stop in Chawton. The next stage is more rural as we walk across fields and sheep meadows for a picnic lunch stop at Upper Farringdon Church opposite the derelict Massey's Folly building.

The afternoon is more direct as we return to Four Marks via Lord's Wood and St Swithun's Way. Length of walk is 6.5 miles in the morning and 4 miles in the afternoon.

It is a most enjoyable walk and hopefully not too muddy after the spring rains.
