Tiger Bay Ramblers welcomes everyone on its walks and this year we are celebrating the first anniversary of our new walking and hiking group for people in their 20s-30s based in South Wales.
If you are under 40 years of age and looking to have fun, get fit, and meet a welcoming bunch of people, then this will be the ideal group for you!
From our meeting point at the entrance to Rumney Hill Gardens our walk will take us past St. Augustine's Church Rumney and Catherine Gardens playground to New Road Recreation Ground, before we cross over the railway bridge to Parc Tredelerch for a walk round it's 4 hectare lake (a former loop of the river Rhymney cut off when the river changed course). From Parc Tredelerch we will make our way to the sea wall where we will join the Wales Coast Path and walk along to Rumney Great Wharf.
The walk will take place on pavements and paths which may be wet and muddy in places. Attendee's should come prepared for the weather on the day, and may wish to bring drink and snacks for rest breaks during the walk.
This is a linear walk so after a short break, we will retrace our steps and make our way back to Rumney Hill Gardens.
If you are interested in joining our 20s-30s group for younger people but are not available to join this walk, please contact secretary@tigerbayramblers.org.uk to register your interest.
Potential members of any age are welcome to attend any three walks with Tiger Bay Ramblers before deciding if they would like to join.
