The Beachy Head Ramblers opens the way for everyone to enjoy walking the downs, clifftops, and wealdways of our area.

Start the New Year with an 8 mile circular walk to visit 5 of the Cuckmere Valley Pilgrim's churches looking splendid at Christmas. Even if you are not spiritual, it's lovely to see the Nativity scenes & decorated churches at this time of the year.
As we will be going inside 5 churches (Alciston, Berwick, Wilmington, Lullington, Alfriston) the 8 miles will take a little longer. Note also we will not have an official lunch/coffee stop as we will have the chance at each church stop for a quick bite to eat/drink. Please bring food/drink with you.
Most of the route is on good flatish paths but we will ascend up to the 'feet' of the Long Man.
Each church has its charm & I will have an interesting story for you at the last church...St Andrew's in Alfriston. The murals at Berwick church are a must if you have not visited before. The church at Lullington lays claim to being the tiniest in Sussex.
