Welcome to the Beachy Head Ramblers
We organise group walks all over East Sussex, including on the coast, the South Downs between Eastbourne and Brighton, around the Eastbourne area, the Pevensey Levels and the Weald.
We have a weekly Wednesday walk of between 9-12 miles. We also provide one or two shorter half day walks a month on Fridays plus occasional Sunday and summer evening walks. Other activities include social meet-ups and an annual group holiday.
Many of our walks are accessible by public transport and/or include lift sharing. Where possible, on longer walks, we arrange escape routes for those who wish to undertake a shorter walk. We typically stop mid-morning for a coffee break before another stop for a packed lunch. Sometimes we will finish close to a pub or cafe and have a social drink. You are very welcome to join and try up to three walks to see how you get on, before joining the Ramblers.
Walking together is a great way to exercise and get outside while also sharing the experience in good company. Please always follow the advice of the walk leader and ensure you are fit enough and have suitable clothing, footwear, and refreshments. Please see the joining our group walks page on our website for further information.
Only assistance dogs are accepted unless the walk listing says otherwise and the walk leader has previously agreed to your dog attending. Please read the full policy on our website.
For information about a specific walk, click on the walk listing below. If you need additional information, contact the walk leader by clicking on the email link for the walk or using the mobile number to text them. Adverse weather conditions or other factors may cause the walk to be cancelled or altered and in such cases the walk information will be updated on the website so always check for the latest info.
