We organise on Meetup, please join via the web-link below to let us know you are coming.
Join us for this 14 mile circular walk through the Bedfordshire Countryside.
We’ll start at Woburn, and take in Aspley Heath, Woburn Sands, Aspley Guise, Ridgmont & Eversholt before returning to Woburn.
The walk was set out in celebration of the Millennium and takes in some picturesque settlements and locations across Bedfordshire. We pick up the walk in reverse order so that we can finish the walk travelling through the Woburn Deer Park for the last mile or so, offering some photo-ops of these wonderfully majestic animals in an open setting of the grounds.
At some point we’ll stop for lunch, and where possible a short further break on further along.
Due to the length of walk and the shorter days please be aware that we will be moving at a good pace to ensure we arrive back at our destination prior to sunset; but would strongly advise bringing a torch just in case. We’d advise against walkers who don’t regularly undertake walks of this length to consider the distance involved.
Arrival: Car park is off Park Street Woburn. MK17 9PG. Members are encouraged to car share where possible.
Start Time: 10am Promptly leaving towards Aspley Heath.
Finish Time: 4pm (approximately)
Please note that there is a short 5 minute, diversion in place from Caxton Gibbet, so please factor this into your journey. https://nationalhighways.co.uk/our-roads/a428-black-cat-to-caxton-gibbet/diversions-closures-and-speed-restrictions/
