Overview

Two connecting 4 mile options, making up an 8 mile total circuit.

For those who prefer just a 4 mile walk, please join us at 10am - the first half has fewer and more gentle uphill stretches but has half a dozen stiles.  Tracks, farmland paths and a metalled road to start.

The second half is a bit more challenging in terms of elevation and due to recent storms, involves a bit of scrambling over, under and around fallen trees.  Mainly in Forest England woodland but with one longish stretch on metalled road.

Far reaching views across Herefordshire with the longer, more hilly section taking in one of the county's biggest Iron Age Hillfort.

Some sections along quiet minor roads, part on Mortimer's Trail, varied terrain.
