Here is your opportunity for a gentle walk through lovely countryside overlooking a beautiful coastline and with a chance to see a magnificent waterfall in spate!
Easily accessible by bus, free car parking and a cafe at the end - this walk has it all.
Starting point is the car park at Abergwyngregyn just off the A55. From here we proceed up the lane towards Aber Falls (Rhaeadr Fawr waterfall) following the Afon Aber; when reaching the waterfalls we will have a short coffee break and admire the falls. We then turn right to the Afon Rhaeadr-bach waterfall; again taking in the spectacular falls. Then we turn back on ourselves along the valley but on the opposite bank from where we had come from. We will then have lunch whilst taking in the stunning Menai Straits, Anglesey view and the valley below. As the path will be slippy we will take the much less steep path down to Heneffordd to meet up with the side road which runs parallel with the A55. Hence, returning to the Abergwyngregyn car park at 15:00.
Suitable clothing and footwear should be worn as it is likely to be very wet, muddy and slippy in places. As we will be passing through fields of livestock this walk is not suitable for dogs. There are refreshments available at Cafe Hen Felin at the end of the walk. Toilets are available near to the car park at Abergwyngregyn.
