Nearest postcode: SL2 3LB is near the entrance to Burnham Beeches, cafe is at the far end of the car park. Note that the postcode doesn't take you exactly to the correct place - see the map which shows the correct starting point.
Finish off the weekend well with an afternoon autumnal stroll in Burnham Beeches woods. We'll be meeting at Burnham Beeches éco café (loos also available there) at the end of the car park.
We'll meander our way through the picturesque woods towards Littleworth Common, where we'll pick up Shakespeare's Way as we go through Dorney Wood. Later we'll gradually ascend through Egypt Woods and then admire the autumnal vistas as we descend back towards our start point.
This is tagged as an Intro Walk, meaning its a nice easy walk where its more about getting to know the group and asking any questions you might have about how we work than any complicated or strenuous walking. Any of our regular walkers are welcome of course, too and please bring any guests you like.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
Parking costs £3 - the car park can sometimes get full - its less likely at this time of year, but if it is there is an alternative car park about 10 mins walk away at The Broadway car park in Farnham Common (£1.60 for 24 hours, SL2 3PQ)
Please dress for cold and wet weather and bring water with you.
