Overview

Get your steps in this Good Friday with a 10 mile hike starting from Gadebridge Park in Hemel Hempstead. We'll be heading north out of town past Piccotts End, throwing rolling fields towards Water End where we'll be stopping at the Crown & Sceptre pub for a drink, then heading past Birchley Wood, across the river Gade through the watercress beds, then south past Potten End back into town.

There will be some gentle hills and the conditions are likely to be muddy so please wear practical clothing and also bring a pack lunch.

There is parking available around Gadebridge Park

  • Gadebridge Lane Car Park (Free)
  • Queensway Car Park (£3 for 6 hours)
  • High Street Car Park (£2.10 for 6 hours)

Please give yourself time to park and walk to the start point.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead under close control and are the responsibility of the owner.
