An extended ramble through the attractive countryside round Alcester. Although quite long, the going is easy, on good paths and tracks and with no hills of note. Nice scenery, good variety and good views.
From Alcester, we follow the little River Arrow on a nice path up to Coughton, where we meet a broad track which we follow to New End and then on to reach Great Alne. We will stop for a lunch break here then continue, through Great Alne Mills, the hamlets of Walcote and Upton, past the attractive Haselor Church and then across fields and along tracks, back to Alcester.
Bring plenty of liquids and sandwiches for a lunch break.

Just a few stiles, a couple being slightly awkward. No steep or particularly slippery bits. One stretch of path is quite narrow and there is the possibility that some bits of paths could be overgrown. Likely to meet livestock (horses and cattle) in a couple of fields. A couple of busy roads to cross, but not much road walking. Suitable for well-behaved dogs on leads.
