This 5-mile circular walk from Aldbury offers a fine mix of woodland, open views, and local landmarks. Climbing steadily through the woods of Ashridge Estate, the route leads to the Bridgewater Monument, a striking historic column set in a clearing with panoramic views. After a rest or café stop, the walk returns via shaded paths and bridleways, passing through peaceful stretches of ancient beech woodland. A rewarding short walk with plenty of variety and classic Chiltern charm.
Park at Church Farm Cafe, off Station Road. Please consider purchasing refreshemnts from the Cafe if you use the car park.
