Overview

Meet by the playing field opposite The Walnut Tree pub in Aldington. Please park considerately in Roman Road near to the playing field. Don’t use the Village Hall or Walnut Tree car parks.

The walk is via open farmland to the north and west of Aldington in the valley of the East Stour River, on parts of which there are current proposals to build a massive solar panel installation, potentially affecting many Public Rights of Way in the area. We’ll then cross the A20 to reach the Mersham-le-Hatch Deer Park then we will return via Mersham and along the south of the valley.

Possibility of refreshments at the Walnut Tree at the end of the walk – please make your own arrangements.
