A hilly walk with superb views once we're up on the Downs overlooking Cuckmere Haven. Refreshment stop on The Downs then descending alongside vineyards to the river and Litlington village. After lunch at the tea gardens, the final 1.5 miles follows the Cuckmere back to Alfriston church.
The early start should make parking in Alfriston easier, possibly roadside on The Tye or in North Street long stay car park, £7 for the day by card payment only.
