Overview

Area/description we head West leaving the car park and crossing the A68 with care, heading to Wharmley Hill, Fox Holes and Windy Bank Wood. Then Comb Bridges up to Carp Shield, over Round hill and up to the reservoir, where we will stop for lunch.

We then head East to Honey Hill treatment works and High and Low Horsleyhope. Returning to Allensford via Dean Howl Farm and Wharmley Hill.

Terrain mixture of woodland paths,  fields, tussocky grass, small amount of road walking. There are a few short steady inclines and a couple of longer ones, all worth it because of the wonderful views. There are a number of stiles all of which in good working order and accessible.

Refreshments  Lunch stop, hydration  stops when required.
