We are the Blackheath Ramblers. We offer long walks in the Home Counties and beyond, using public transport. We also offer shorter urban walks on Sundays.
This is a joint walk with Sevenoaks Group.
The walk will leave Tonbridge past the Castle and follow the Eden Valley Path along the banks of the Medway before turning North to Leigh village where we will take our late morning break.
We then start to gently climb through the open fields to Sevenoaks Weald where we will picnic on the green and if required visit the Windmill pub, which boasts a good selection of ales.
After lunch the climb is steeper up to the Greensand Ridge, with the long southerly views before we cut off through the woods of Montreal Estate and into Sevenoaks.

9.36 from London Bridge, 10.02 from Sevenoaks. Buy a day return to Tonbridge Meet at the rear exit to Tonbridge station (by Platform 3). If driving is unavoidable car sharing is advised and parking at Tonbridge station car park or Sevenoaks and use single tickets.
