Overview

A 9 mile circular walk starting from Itchen Abbas village Hall (free parking). The walk takes in the 3 Castles Way and the Watercress Way, along the picturesque River Arle.  After lunch overlooking watercress beds, we will walk to Ovington, then parallel to the Itchen  River to Avington Park, before returning to Itchen Abbas.

Note that the route of the proposed walk was modified on 11th January 2024, to avoid flooding of the Itchen Way. This involves walking for about a mile along a very quiet country lane and shortens the walk from 10 to 9 miles.
