Overview

Leaving Alstonefield we follow a lovely up and down path to Wetton. Gorgeous view as you leave this village and descend into a valley then a short road climb and you're onto Ecton Hill. Opportunity, weather permitting, to knock off the trig point and gasp hopefully at the panoramic vistas, before going down to the Manifold Way briefly. Leaving that, along some less travelled paths, past Archford Moor and past Gateham Farm bring us back up to our start.

Meet at Alstonefield Car Park with Public Toilets . You can Google Map this and Google also says there is a £4 charge unless you have a pass for the Peak District National Park. Not sure if cash is needed, should be card/app as well I would have thought. There is also a car park at the village hall with a donations box or on street parking if preferred.
