Latest News -  Altrincham trams will only be running from Deansgate/Castlefield on Sunday. If you are travelling by tram to the start of the walk,  please do allow plenty of time so to reach the start of the walk at 10.15am at Altrincham Interchange.  

Area Sunday Moderate Walk. Distances are generally 7 to 9 miles.

Meeting Place and Start of Walk - 10.15 Altrincham Interchange

Expected time in Styal - around 15.15 to catch the 15.24 replacement bus connecting at Manchester Airport with the train to Piccadilly. Also available is the 16.28 replacement bus to Wilmslow to connect with trains to Piccadilly via Stockport.

Tram Ticket – if you have a GM concessionary travel card with the train/tram supplement you do not need to buy a ticket. If you don't you will need a single tram ticket to Altrincham and a single train ticket from Styal. Depending on other journeys you may be taking a GM day ticket may be worthwhile.

Car Parking - car travel not advised.

Walk Route - Altrincham Interchange, Stamford Park, Rossmill, , Castle Hill, Morley, Styal Country Park, Styal station

Note: walkers are advised to check the TfGM website www.tfgm.com near the day of the walk in case any disruption of services is expected.
