From The Dover we walk roughly eastwards through mainly wooded areas before heading out across wheat fields with fine views on a clear day of Patching church and south towards Selden. Heading north we climb gently and steadily up Patching Hill and Upper Barpham with views aloft over Michelgrove, Lower Barpham and further afield. Reaching our summit and turning south west reveals partial views of the Arun Valley and Arundel Castle in the distance before descending gently into wooded and shaded areas for the remainder of the walk through Wepham Wood and returning to the start point.
